Wyoming Sports Betting Update
In April 2021, Governor Mark Gordon signed HB133 into law which saw Wyoming join Tennessee as the only state with online-only sports betting. The law also formally authorizes Wyoming residents to participate in Daily Fantasy Sports. On June 9, 2021, the Wyoming Gaming Commission decided on its official rules and set the stage for applications to open in July. On July 15, the Wisconsin Gaming Commission opened the sports betting license application process, and that process is currently underway.
Denver Broncos Betting Outlook
Wyoming does not have its own NFL team, but it’s on track to have its sports betting launched in time for the NFL season, and most Wyoming residents follow the Denver Broncos. On DraftKings, the Broncos are currently listed at +110 to make the playoffs and -140 not to make the playoffs. With an expanded 7-team playoff field and a 17-game slate, the Broncos’ talented roster should win out and put this team right in playoff contention. Denver is listed at +550 to win the AFC West, behind the Chiefs (-250) and Chargers (+450), and it’s unlikely they unseat Patrick Mahomes and friends atop the division. However, a Wild Card playoff berth is well within the range of outcomes.
If you’re interested in a shorter-term play, the Broncos are listed as -1 favorites to beat the Giants in Week 1. New York added Kenny Golladay and rookie Kadarius Toney to boost the receiving corps. Still, Denver’s secondary is arguably the best in the NFL, and the likes of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb will give Daniel Jones fits. Denver is listed at -115 to win that game, as well. The Giants also have a very talented defense, but the Broncos have the more talented roster overall. Have a lean on which quarterback will suit up in Week 1 for Denver? You can also bet on Drew Lock vs. Teddy Bridgewater to be the starting quarterback for this team, and both are listed at +150. Denver is also listed at +140 to land Aaron Rodgers before starting the season, which would obviously transform their immediate ability to contend.
