Euro Final Preview

While neither of these two teams went into the Euro 2020s as favorites, both of them were seen as solid squads who could compete for the final. However, as the tournament went along, Italy began to dominate, and England simply kept winning. Now, Italy undoubtedly had the tougher side of the bracket, having to go through #1 ranked Belgium and a tough Spain squad to even get to the finals. Meanwhile, England’s only big matchup was in the Round of 16 against Germany.

DraftKings Sportsbook currently has the lines as follows.

  • Moneyline (Regular Time): Italy +200 / Draw +200 / England +165
  • To Win Trophy: Italy +100 / England -115
  • Total Goals: Over 1.5 -195 / Under 1.5 +155

It is clear that the betting market is essentially split between England and Italy.

Betting Picks

DraftKings Sportsbook Euro 2020 Finals Preview Italy vs. Spain (How to Get $50 Free Bet)When going through how this game is going to play out, I do not see Italy changing its approach one bit. The 4-3-3 that looks to press and penetrate all game will be the go-to tactic, and they will let Southgate and the England coaching staff try and figure out how to stop it. I actually believe the weakest point for both of these teams is the backline. With that said, I like the Over on 1.5 goals.

When it comes to predicting the regular time outcome, my heart says Italy, but my brain says Draw. Either way, I believe the difference in this game will actually be Donnarumma vs. Pickford, giving Italy the eventual edge. The English goalie looked shaky in his performance against Denmark, and I am almost positive the Danes would have won on penalties. Meanwhile, Donnarumma has looked like one of the best, if not the best, keepers in the world. Whether it is a regular-time play or penalties, I think the difference in composure and skill between the two keepers will be the difference in this game.

If hard-pressed, I am going for Italy to win it in regular time at +200 and the over on 2.5 goals which stands at +170.
