2021 Cleveland Browns Betting Preview
The Browns have a lot of expectations for the 2021 season and they might have the roster to finally compete against the Chiefs and Bills. The Browns are loaded on both sides of the ball.
On offense, they have the quarterback with the right weapons around him to make him look even better. Baker Mayfield is the guy for Cleveland and he has an arsenal around him. On the outside, Odel Beckham Jr. is looking to return to prime form after suffering an ACL tear and he has other guys like Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Austin Hooper, and Donovan Peoples-Jones to make the Browns a passing juggernaut.
But Cleveland isn’t even considered an air raid team because of their spectacular running backs. Nick Chubb is a top 5 back in the league and Kareem Hunt is an excellent running and receiving back.
On defense, the Browns spent money this offseason to make their team loaded everywhere. DE Jadeveon Clowney is now on the team to get sacks on the opposite side of star DE Myles Garrett. CB John Johnson also joins the team to shut down opposing receivers along with Denzel Ward and rookie Greg Newsome.
The Browns have one of the most talented rosters in the league on paper, but will that talent be enough to get out of their brutal division and eventually to the Super Bowl?

Key Offseason Transactions
The Browns were huge buyers this offseason.
The offense wasn’t the issue as the Browns were one of the best offenses in the league last season.
They instead decided to focus on their defense, which had more holes in it than people think. The Browns lacked good players opposite of their stars on defense. They didn’t have a good passer rusher opposite of Myles Garrett and a good cornerback opposite of Denzel Ward. Through free agency, they fixed their pass-rushing issue by signing former #1 pick Jadeveon Clowney.
Through the draft, they picked CB Greg Newsome to finally give Denzel Ward a running mate in the secondary. The secondary also got upgraded in the safety department as they paid John Johnson to a massive contract to give leadership and experience to a fairly young secondary unit.

2021 Cleveland Browns Betting Outlook
The Browns are going to be a profitable team to bet on this upcoming season.
Sure their division and competition got harder, but the Browns were one of the premier winners of the draft and free agency.
The Browns have been building a super team over the past couple of seasons and now is their time to strike. Their offense was one of the best last season and should continue to be great this season under head coach Kevin Stefanski. So expect overs for Cleveland as not many teams have the personnel on defense to keep up with their firepower.
They should also be better ATS than they were a year ago with all of the upgrades they made on defense. The only reason that they weren’t better ATS was because their defense let up too many points.
So with a better defense and the same incredible offense, the Browns mean business and they are going to be a money machine in 2021.
Cleveland Browns Super Bowl Odds
After being the laughing stock of the NFL for the past decade, the Browns have one of the best odds to win Super Bowl 56.
The Browns have +1600 odds to win the Super Bowl, which are the 6th best odds in the league.
These odds are tied with the Packers and are behind more experienced teams like the Chiefs, Buccaneers, Bills, Rams, and 49ers. The Browns have good value for this bet because of all of the high-end talent they have accumulated. The Browns didn’t pay all of the studs they have to fall short of winning the Super Bowl and that might work in their favor. Everyone on that roster will be focused on one thing and one thing only, winning the Super Bowl. That could create chemistry within the team faster which is one of the most important things to a championship team.
The Browns are a good team to bet on if you think everyone on that team can get along and fight through adversity.
Cleveland Browns Playoff Odds
After making the playoffs for the first time in a long time last season, the oddsmakers expect the Browns to make the playoffs again.
The odds that the Browns make the playoffs are at -200 and the odds that they miss the playoffs are +170.
The Browns have the best shot of winning the difficult AFC North and that would be the easiest way for them to make the playoffs. The Ravens or Steelers could also claim the AFC North crown, but the Browns are more than talented enough to get a wildcard spot.
Competing for a wildcard spot with the Browns would be teams like either the Ravens or Steelers and the Patriots, Dolphins, Chargers, Raiders, and either the Colts or Titans.
The Browns are arguably the most talented team out of them and should have no problem making the playoffs through winning the division or getting a wildcard spot.
Cleveland Browns Win Total Odds
To make the playoffs and the Super Bowl, you first got to win some games in the regular season and Cleveland has some lofty win expectations.
Vegas set the line at 10.5 wins with the under being the favorite bet.
Under 10.5 wins has -130 odds while over 10.5 wins has +107 odds.
If we look at their schedule we can see that the Browns are going to be in a dogfight weekly. They first have to get through tier division which has other potential playoff teams like the Ravens and Steelers, and the feisty Bengals. Outside of their division, they don’t have many cupcake games as they have to play the Chiefs, Texans, Bears, Vikings, Chargers, Cardinals, Broncos, Patriots, Lions, Raiders, and Packers.
There isn’t much wiggle room for the Browns to drop games that they shouldn’t. To get to 11 wins is a steep task for the Browns considering some of the teams they play both inside and outside their division, so while the over is not out of the question, I just don’t see it happening.
Cleveland Browns Player Future Odds
A Browns’ player has a great chance to win the DPOY this year and a worse, but still relevant, chance to win the Comeback Player of the Year award.
DE Myles Garrett happens to be the Hulk personified and has the second-best chance to win the DPOY award only behind fellow superhuman Aaron Donald. Garrett has +625 odds to win the award because of his blend of speed and power that makes opposing linemen quiver in their cleats.
For the Comeback Player of the Year award, Odell Beckham Jr. is coming off an ACL tear and is a prime candidate to win the award. He has decent odds to win the trophy at +2000 and has the 5th best chance to win the award out of all non-quarterbacks. If we include quarterbacks, then he has the 11th best chance to win. But Beckham Jr. is not a bad choice because of his game-breaking ability when he is healthy.
